Just saw this on ABC morning news on 7/30/11–they presented it as if it had just occurred—what took them so long????–Yhis is a great, and heartwarming story—thank you and job well done
Good question! The actual rescue happened in February, so I’m not sure what took so long for the video to get out.
I can’t believe that there are only now 3 comments
I must add that I only saw the rescue yesterday Aug 24 – I live in Tasmania & I know we’re a bit backward but this is ridiculous. they made it sound like it was yesterday.
Amazing though how the biggest animals – who have possibly seen their relatives slaughtered by us to the point near-extinction can, not only allow us so close, but thank us afterward. I may be able to feel unashamed of being human – one day..
